Rising from the ashes of the charmingly named Dig Pfizer B, Ultrafoetus was conceived back in 1997 in the backwaters of deepest Lancashire when Them Buzz adopted the moniker after being introduced to Cubase. Holocaust in my Head – the first Ultrafoetus recording - was quickly released on a limited run to local critical acclaim. Since then Ultrafoetus has relocated to Manchester and has recently been working on a catalogue of new material.
Pulling together a technicolour collision of many musical obsessions, Ultrafoetus launched this highly impressive debut EP via a prestigious support slot at July 2005's To Amy With Love - featuring the amazing Max Tundra (Domino), and Cylob (Rephlex). Six tracks of downbeat sci-fi cool, including popular floor fillers Extra Words For Matt and Dirty Gurgles, Two abortive trips to a Goddam Movie and an unscheduled foray into the darker recesses of the Ultrafoetus psyche (in the shape of the epic, sprawling When Were You I)
